airtel launching 3g in bangladesh in 29th fabruary 2011. just waitting for that days.

    @ Admin feb 2011 closed with 28th so how could be 29th feb ??

    @Rabbi yes they got the license , they didnt get the license for 3g call or video call .3g inter is permitted in Bangladesh.

    They say this service will b available from 2012 march I guess!
    Teletalk will go for a six months trial... To see how it goes and for all otter operator they gotta bid to get th licence!

    Bangladesh is going to arrange its long awaited 3G auctions in June 2012. In this regard, TeleTalk, a Bangladeshi Telco, has provided the details that it will start its initial trial of 3G services after the auctions. The company official told while talking to the bdnews24 that the company would come in the position to arrange the 3G services after it will gain the 3 million mobile customers’ base. The company is expecting to reach this goal by the March 2012.

    The trial of 3G services will first be started from the big cities of Bangladesh. TeleTalk has plans to upgrade its 700 bases across the Bangladesh to 3G functions. The additional detail tell that TeleTalk will not be required to participate in 3G auctions; however, it will have to match the maximum bid price for 3G license.

    Bangladesh will invite both the domestic and the international telecom operators for the 3G auctions. Besides, the new entrants are also eligible in Bangladesh to apply for the 2G licenses.
